FootGolf uses the same rules and concepts as golf except it involves kicking a soccer ball instead of using golf clubs and golf balls. It is played on an actual golf course using a #5 soccer ball and a 21 inch cup. 18 Holes of FootGolf fit on to 9 Holes of a regular golf courseand typically takes between 2.5-3 hours to play. A soccer ball is kicked from a tee area to a target which is the “hole”. As a player progresses down the fairway, he or she must make each consecutive kick from the spot where the previous ball has finished. The trees, shrubs, and terrain changes located in and around the fairways providing challenging obstacles. Finally, the “putt” lands in the hole and the hole is completed. The game is not a matter of just kicking the ball as hard as you can. There is a lot of strategy and finesse involved with positioning your shots and getting the ball into the hole. All you need to bring is a #5 Soccer Ball and let us handle the rest!
Knollwood Golf and Country Club is now offering a unique combination of both the sport of soccer and the sport of golf into one sport called FootGolf!
